Conte ready to wield Juventus axe

The Bianconeri could cash in on the likes of Mauricio Isla, Fabio
Quagliarella and Alessandro Matri in order to strengthen their squad elsewhere
Juventus coach Antonio Conte has admitted that the club needs to offload some players before he can make any more new signings.

The Bianconeri have already strengthened their squad with the additions of Angelo Ogbonna, Fernando Llorente and Carlos Tevez, but it is reported that they are still hoping to bring in Napoli wing-back Juan Camilo Zuniga.

However, Conte has all but confirmed that in order to so, the Serie A champions will need to cash in on those players deemed surplus to requirements at Juventus stadium.

"It is up to the club to make the necessary assessments," the Old Lady boss told reporters after Wednesday's friendly win over Aygreville.

"We know there is a need to sell and possibly complete some talks."

However, while Conte is still looking to add more options to his squad, the former Siena coach insists that there will be no move away from his tried-and-trusted 3-5-2 formation.

“We’ve won the Scudetto over the last two seasons, so I don’t see why we need to change,” he reasoned. “We’ll play as we always have.

“We got to the quarter-finals of the Champions League in our first experience of the competition, playing beautiful football on the way. We’ll thus continue to do that.”

Conte has led Juventus to back-to-back league titles since returning to the club as a coach in 2011.
